The Marcelo Collection

Meet the Marcelo Collection

Have you seen our best-selling Marcelo collection? There’s a reason why it’s so popular – the Side Chairs, Armchair and Bar Stools have a cool, retro influence, but are the epitome of modern sophistication and comfort.

Handcrafted from solid wood, the Marcelo chairs and stools have been inspired by Mid-Century Scandinavian design and are available in Natural Oak or Satin Black. There is also an attractive ‘rattan back’ option, which really embodies the retro trend we’re seeing in contract furniture and interiors at the moment.

The ergonomic wide seats and curved backs are designed for comfort but don’t compromise on elegant style. Your customer’s relaxation can be amplified with the addition of one of our specially designed seat pads, upholstered in high quality faux leather.

The Importance of Modern Furniture in Commercial Spaces

The contract furniture you choose says a lot about your business and brand. In a bar, restaurant, hotel or event space, the interior of your venue and the style and condition of your furniture will make an impression on your customers way before the service, food, or drink has been experienced.

The right choice of contemporary furniture can help you to stand out amongst the competition. It can convey a sense of sophistication, style, and attention to detail, whilst creating a more inviting and comfortable experience for your guests, ultimately leading to increased satisfaction and repeat business – and who doesn’t want that?

The Marcelo collection is the perfect balance of form and function; the beautifully designed curves and ergonomic comfort will work equally as well in a contemporary interior with minimalist aesthetics or a more classic venue where craftsmanship is key.

Beautifully Crafted Contract Chairs & Bar Stools

The Marcelo seating in the natural colourway is expertly handcrafted from solid oak, whilst the black version is constructed from beautiful beech with a satin black stain, and where a rattan back is featured, it’s made from high quality natural cane. All combine to create a wonderfully crafted range of furniture that will add natural elegance and warmth to commercial dining and bar areas.

The robust frames of the chairs and stools provide exceptional support and durability, even in high-use hospitality environments and the upholstered options include seat pads which are crafted from contract grade faux leather, in a choice of three colours, which has been tested for fire-retardancy.

The Benefits of Investing in Quality Commercial Furniture

When it comes to kitting out a hospitality venue, domestic furniture just won’t do. Contract furniture needs to be strong, safe and durable. There’s no denying that seating found in commercial venues must withstand being constantly moved around, sat on, and cleaned.

That’s why, at Eclipse Furniture, all our products are tested and certified for contract use. The entire Marcelo Collection has been built to last and is tested for strength, durability, and safety to contract Level 1 (EN 16139:2013/AC:2013) by FIRA International. This means that we are confident the Marcelo Chairs and Bar Stools will withstand daily wear and tear in a commercial environment, ensuring a longer lifespan and reducing the need for frequent replacements, ultimately saving money and stress, and promoting sustainability.

The Success of the Marcelo Collection

We love to see our furniture in stylish hospitality venues, and Marcelo is no exception! When renovating Rosso Pizza & Bar in Guernsey, The Big Red Group were looking for furniture that was chic and elegant with an element of rattan to suggest outdoor living but not be a throwback to the 1970s.

They were instantly drawn to the Marcelo collection – it ticked all the boxes. They found the rattan that they were looking for and loved the style of the seating so much that they chose to add in the solid wood version to the mix.

Marcelo Side Chairs and Stools are used to great effect, the different heights create separate seating zones within the restaurant. The Bar Stools complement the high table which can seat up to 14 people and has a real lemon tree growing through the middle!

The renovated interior of Rosso Pizza & Bar is quite simply stunning! The team achieved the light and airy look they were after and the shades of light wood that run through the restaurant add warmth and texture. The initial desire for rattan has been achieved with the Marcelo seating, and this has been echoed in the rattan lamp shades that hang above the bar.
