Make the Most of the Easter Period!

The days are getting longer and warmer, and the British public are getting ready to make the most of the upcoming Easter holidays. It’s a late one in 2025, with Easter Sunday on 20th April and Bank Holidays either side, with Good Friday on the 18th and Easter Monday on the 21st.

Schools will be closed, and many people will have time off work, meaning they’re more likely to travel or eat out, leading to a surge in demand for accommodation, food, and entertainment. According to Harpers.co.uk bookings for Easter weekend were up 40% last year compared to 2023. And it’s looking similar this year, with families getting together to enjoy the occasion.

Across the four-day period, Easter Sunday remains the most popular date to book a meal, but with several Bank Holidays to take advantage of, the Easter period is looking very lucrative for hospitality businesses this year.

Here are some top tips on how to boost your revenue this Easter:

If you have a Café or Restaurant

• Maximise your seating: It’s simple. The more customers that eat and drink in your establishment, the more profit you make, so think about how you can make the most of your space without it feeling claustrophobic. A number of smaller tables that can be used by couples or pushed together for a family booking makes a lot of sense. Consider using our innovative FLAT Table Bases which use stabilising technology to keep tables wobble-free or align them when more than one is put together.

• Cater for the whole family: Easter is a time for families, and according to the Access website, Bank Holidays are a great opportunity to target them with special offers. For example, consider offering a sharing roast platter or run a ‘kids eat free’ promotion when at least two adults dine. This can help attract families looking for good value and a place to spend time together.

If you’re keen on making your venue more family friendly, you’ll want commercial furniture that’s durable and easy to maintain. Our bestselling Extrema Table Tops are made from high pressure laminate, making them hard-wearing and resistant to water, UV, and impacts. Also, take a look at our great value Children’s High Chairs.

• Embrace outdoor dining: Spring can bring beautiful sunshine or rain and snow, but whatever the weather, many customers want to enjoy a meal al fresco. Make sure you meet demand by equipping your outdoor areas with commercial furniture that’s been designed for use outside. To give your diners a comfortable experience, it’s worth investing in parasols for your outdoor dining tables. If you’ve got a large area to cover, we now offer ‘jumbrellas’ – large, customisable, commercial parasols that are weather-resistant and even come with optional light, sound and heating systems.

If you run a Hotel

• Offer Easter packages: A great way to attract guests during the Easter holidays is by offering Easter-themed packages and promotions as well as highlighting local events and activities. The Hotels Network suggests offering special room rates, complimentary Easter baskets, or Easter egg hunts for children.

• Capitalise on food and drink: For many hotels, the biggest profits come from the food and drink served to guests during their stay. To get your customers’ tastebuds excited, you could offer special Easter menus featuring seasonal dishes and traditional favourites. And to keep the food orders coming in during the day, brunch specials and afternoon tea packages will attract clientele that might not be staying at the hotel.

Make sure you offer versatile dining areas for your guests. A formal dining room with elegant tables and chairs is great for creating an occasion, but if someone wants a quick bite to eat or enjoy a mid-morning coffee and cake, lounge chairs, soft seating, and coffee tables will create a more relaxed setting.

• Use your outdoor spaces: Fingers crossed for a warm and sunny Easter this year, but even if we succumb to April showers, your guests will probably still want to make use of your outdoor areas. The garden is a great place for kids to let off steam and somewhere for parents to sit, relax and enjoy your hospitality. A mixture of commercial outdoor furniture will keep your gardens versatile. Our outdoor dining sets or picnic benches are a great time-saving option, or consider one of our outdoor lounge sets where guests can take it easy with cup of tea or a well-deserved glass of wine.

If you own a Bar or Pub

• Embrace seasonality: Make the most of customers with plenty of leisure time! Classeq.co.uk says that to manage the extra demand and really take full advantage of the increased footfall, many establishments increase their opening hours, broaden their menu, or diversify their supply chain to accommodate the extra demand. Seasonal food and drink offerings will attract customers, as will special deals such as bottomless brunches or 2-for-1’s on delicious Spring cocktails.

• Put on some entertainment: Give customers extra incentives to stay at your venue by offering live music or other entertainment to create a festive atmosphere. If you’ve got some space outside, this is a great place to host a music event – just make sure you’ve got enough outdoor furniture for all your guests and provide a weather-proof area for the performers. For times like these it’s worth considering investing in Event Furniture, which is designed to be lightweight, stackable and easy to move and store.

• Make the most of your floor space: Pubs and bars need to strike a fine balance between offering areas for guests to sit and relax and places to get together, socialise and move around. Fixed Seating is a versatile solution that can help create zones whilst offering multiple seats in a neat, tailored way. Bar Stools along with Bar and Poseur-Height Tables are a great space-efficient option for customers who wish to sit or stand.
